I couldn’t feel luckier if I won the lottery. Over the past year I have been able to travel to some incredible places and experience a countless number of “once in a lifetime” moments. Through it all, I have also been lucky enough to take a whole lot of pictures. Although I am far too lazy to figure out just how many photos I’ve taken in 2011, I would estimate that number to be around about 10,000, possible much more. That being said. Choosing just a handful of photos was almost impossible. Rather than giving truly my favourite photos of the year, I have given you a snapshot of some of my favourites following a timeline. It would have been easy for me to add 20 images from Antactica and 10 from the Galapagos but I wanted to spread the wealth out a bit. Instead you’ll find 48 images from around 20 counties and 3 different continents. I hope you enjoy, and would love to hear from you which one is your favourite.

Love, love, love this collection! What a year you have had. I hope you have had a chance to get your camera and equipment replaced.
Thanks Jeremy – Actually, I have a secret, that penguin took all those pictures.
Thanks Tijmen, it was hard for me to pick 48 out of a year, I wouldn’t dare try to pick one myself either!
Thanks Grace! That penguin is a show stealer!
Yesir Alex… it was a good one, and here’s hoping 2012 is equally great.
Thanks Jenna, it’s been a fun year, and the camera gear collection is starting again slowly but surely.
Amazing shots. I’m sure it’s really difficult to catch those birds still for the perfect photo. Can’t wait to see what 2012 brings. Hope to bump into you on the road during our RTW travels.

Brendan, that is a truly amazing set of photographs! What a fantastic year you’ve had. All the pictures are amazing and although Antarctica is a dream destination of mine and I’m drawn to the iceberg Antarctica shot, the Panama city freeway shot is my favourite.
Keep sharing in 2012!

Your photos are magic. I’m in love with them all, especially the portraits. To capture a person’s true and real emotions is a gift. And, Brendan, you have that gift (to go along with your awesome skills).
