South Africa Travel Guide
I’m not really too sure what I expected when I thought about travelling South Africa, but it surely isn’t what I have found. I think our image of South Africa is a lion on a savannah. But it’s obviously so much more than that. All-in-all, it’s so much more dramatic than I imagined. Throughout the Northern and Western Cape, there are some of the most beautiful coastlines on the planet. I never expected the physical geography of South Africa to be as stunning.
Cape Town too, though I thought I’d enjoy it, blew my mind. I can safely say now that Cape Town is one of my top 3 favourite cities on the planet and one of about 2 places on earth I could see myself living.
Farther east, South Africa continues to impress. The garden route is spectacular, Addo National Park is a bit of a hidden gem, the wild coast is marvellous, and I still haven’t even seen Kruger National Park yet.
So far, South Africa is one of my favourite countries on the planet to travel and I never thought I’d say that coming in. The best part? Though it is obviously covered by tourists, it’s still relatively under travelled; especially in comparison with places like Europe and South America. Get to South Africa, you won’t regret it.
