Using the AMEX Airmiles Platinum Card

After playing around with the American Express AIR MILES Platinum Card and its features I have to say that I’m impressed. The card has so many features that are directly geared at the traveller that it’s nearly impossible for the travel addicts out there not to get the best out of the card. The card comes complete with travel insurance, fraud protection, baggage protection and, of course, a plan to make it very easy to accumulate AIR MILES.

Why not use your AIRMILES for a golf vacation in Phoenix?

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t always look at AIR MILES programs as a challenge. It just seemed impossible to get any sort of product of value involved in a program like this. I always felt like I needed to go out of my way to try to earn the miles. However, with the ability to pull miles in at 1 mile for every $10 spent at AIR MILES sponsors and now on eligible everyday spending makes it really easy. I can see how easy it would be to simply put all of your purchases on the card, pay off the card right away, and earn the miles. It’s not a stretch for me to believe that one could earn enough for a flight across the country each year just by using this card on purchases they’d be making anyway.

I’ve found the card simple to use, and have used it in a number of situations already. In fact, I have just booked my flights to and from the Dominican Republic for my sister’s wedding on the card. Booking those flights alone meant that I earned a significant amount of miles simply by purchasing something I would have had to do regardless.

I highly recommend this card to the Canadian travel lovers out there. It is a great way to earn a little bit of a reward for your everyday purchases. The beauty in using this card to earn miles is that you don’t need to go out of your way to earn. You just do the same things you have always done, only you do them with the Amex AIR MILES Platinum Card in your wallet.
