What Kind of Traveller are You?

I’ve always been a people watcher.  I love it.  Honestly, it doesn’t matter if I’m in Paris or the Yaounde, I could just sit on the street and watch people.  And as much as the locals are interesting, what really interests me are the travellers.  To be clear, I’m not the judgemental type, I just like trying to figure people out: where they’re from, what type of trip they are on, and what kind of traveller are they.  I like to think I’m pretty good at it.  I can usually place someone right down to whether they use travel insurance or live on the edge by free-wheeling. You might remember my post on types of travellers you see at the airport; people watching is my game.

But it’s also kind of fun to try to figure out what kind of traveller you are.  For me, the answer used to be easy.  I was a backpacker.  However, over the years my travelling style has changed.  I backpack less, I upgrade where I can.  Sure, I still feel like an adventure traveller, and I know I am, but I do enjoy a bit of comfort in my life these days.

Anyways, if you’re interested in seeing what kind of traveller you are the people at Virgin Money Travel Insurance have come up with this fun infographic to help you see what kind of traveller you are.
