Video of the Week: Wildlife in Abuko Nature Reserve

I’ve been trying in vain to get some more of these videos up.  However, the lack of good internet in West Africa so far has been killing it.  The truth is that my “It’s My Life 365″ series is already on day 37 now, but I’ve only just now gotten day 15 uploaded to YouTube, and even that took using a friend’s help in South Korea.

I do think that you’ll really like these videos as they give a nice bit of insight into my life on the road.  On this episode, I had a really good day wandering through Abuko Nature Reserve in The Gambia.  Seeing all the wildlife really got me really primed to start seeing more wildlife deeper south in West Africa.  In real time, I am in Conakry, Guinea and will be headed to Sierra Leone soon in hopes of spotting some big wildlife such as chimpanzees, hippos, and maybe even some elephants if I’m really lucky.

Anyways, I’d love to hear what you think about the videos in the comments below.  And don’t forget to subscribe to my series on youtube!

  1. Brendan, you would see more monkeys if you stopped talking into the video unless you find the not so elusive paparazzi monkeys. Just kidding, great video. Looks like you are having a blast in Africa.
