There’s no much going on in El Calafate, I’d be a liar if I told you otherwise. The windy Patagonian town cities high above a large lake, and serves as a gateway for visits to the incredible Perito Moreno Glacier. However, all destinations are what you make of them. As many travelers soak away their time in the town’s overpriced bars waiting for their turn to visit the natural glacial wonder, I wandered aimlessly. I came across a park full of bird life, many types I had never seen before. I pulled up a seat on a nearby bench and waited until the birds came to me.
