The Set Up

The coastline of Brazil is about as picturesque as anywhere I have ever seen.  Tall palm trees stand guard over beautiful beaches that find themselves tucked away in just about any cove or habour.  Tiny green islands dot the waters adding contrast to the full blue water, and it’s easy to find yourself swept away by the beauty.  The country many call the giant of South America is certainly the tourism leader, and with views like this it’s easy to see why.

The Shot

It’s amazing how you remember every single shot you take isn’t it?  I shot this photo from a rocky wave breaker that I had to hike across.  I wanted to shoot the scene in a wide angle, but the shot seemed to be too full of water and sky.  So instead, I pulled out my telephoto and shot this on my 70-200mm.

I shot this at 200mm with f7.1 with a shutter speed of 1/400seconds; iso100.

What did I miss?

Friday I posted a photo essay from the famous Real Gabinete Português de Leitura Library.
