I wish I could tell you that this bear is wild. However, he lives in Grouse Mountain at a small refuge with his brother. The two bears were separated at birth from their mother and taken to this refuge to give them a chance at life. Usually the two bears are hidden away in the trees and shelter that they have on their 5 acre plot of land, but in this case, because it was very quite on the top of Grouse Mountain, the two were out wandering around. I got some great pictures of these amazing beasts including this on that you’re looking at here. ┬áCheck this out for some wild photos of grizzly bears!

  1. If this bear was in the wild and you took that photo… I’d say you are a man with no fear. At YellowStone I watched a Grizzly in the wild from a distance… when it inched closer – we climbed back in our car (as per the park ranger’s instructions) But the few seconds in the wild when we watched … worth it. Amazing creatures indeed.

    stay adventurous, Craig
