One of the greatest things about being a tourist in your own homeland is that you already know the local secrets. In your home territory there is no need to search through guidebooks or read blogs to find out where the best spots are, because they are right in your backyard. The photo featured was taken at Abraham Lake which is found on the David Thompson highway just outside of Banff National Park. Most tourists miss out on this amazing place because it is outside the park. That’s part of what’s so amazing about this place, you’ll have it nearly all to yourself.
