Vintgar Gorge
Probably my favourite photo from the gorge. I love the mix between human and natural elements here.

Yesterday I published an article from Bled, Slovenia.  Truth is, I was planning to publish just the one article from Bled.  However, as I was posting it, I realized I was having a really hard time choosing just a couple photos of Vintgar Gorge.  The only real option was to post a completely new article from the gorge.

I was really hoping to get caught up with all these travel blogs before I set off for Asia.  However, amazing places like Vintgar Gorge have made it hard for me to do that.  I can’t just skip out sharing these amazing photos with you, can I?

Anyways, this is obviously just a short article to get these photos of Vintgar Gorge out to the world.  If you’re ever in Bled, Slovenia I can’t recommend this place enough.  It’s just a 3km walk from Bled, and a round trip out to see the gorge will take you about 3 hours or so.  If you are hoping to see it forceful and full of water like this, I visited in November.

Ok, onto the photos.  Would love to hear your thoughts as usual.

Vintgar Gorge
This is the back entrance to Vintgar Gorge, a little hut at the joining of two rivers. Pretty dramatic. This is also the bottom of the gorge, so if you come in this way, you’ll be walking up river.
Vintgar Gorge
The gorge doesn’t mess around. The trail dives directly into narrow canyon passes of sheer walls like this. Brilliant boardwalk trails lead the way through.
Vintgar Gorge
As you can see, Vintgar Gorge is covered in leafs this time of year. We often had to push our way through 3-4 feet of the stuff.
Vintgar Gorge
This is Tiffany in the leafs AFTER I cleared out about half of them.
Vintgar Gorge
There’s no way you can not love the boardwalks through Vintgar Gorge. I have to imagine it gets a little busy in the summer, but we had it all to ourselves.
Vintgar Gorge
You gotta love the lines of this canyon. One of the easiest places in the world to photograph. A cool shot around every corner.
Vintgar Gorge
I like to shoot places like this with long shutter speeds, I prefer it to stopping the motion of the water. I feel like the trails of rushing water give more “motion” to the image.

Vintgar Gorge
Another one of my favourites. Just look at the power and colour of that water. Amazing place!
Vintgar Gorge
Last photo. You can see the gorge opening up ahead. This is the start of the gorge if you enter via the village of Vintgar. I’m sure the images are proof enough, but I highly recommend a visit to here if you’re in Bled, Slovenia
