Botswana Travel Guide

The truth is that Botswana wasn’t a part of my African travel plans at all this time around.  However, when I was in Livingstone I made the decision to make a quick trip across the border to explore Chobe National Park.  My short visit to the country was nice, but it only left me yearning for more of Botswana.  The next time I come through I’ll be sure to explore a little bit more in depth.  In general, Botswana is one of the premier wildlife viewing countries in the entire world.  The national parks like Chobe and the Okavango Delta are among the top parks in all of Africa and aren’t to be missed.  Aside from the wildlife, the people of Botswana are welcoming and as open as any people in the region.  Yes, Botswana and it’s national parks can wear a bit on the wallet, but it’s certainly worth it.

Backpacker’s Budget: 50-60USD a day with the National Parks
