As a North American myself, it took a couple years off of the continent to realize the beauty of travelling this region. Sure, travelling across Canada and the United States isn’t exactly cheap, but it doesn’t have to be insanely expensive if done correctly, and – at the end of the day – the rewards far outweigh the costs. In North America you may find yourself hiking through one of the world’s greatest canyons one day, looking up in awe at the bright lights of a famous city another, and then sitting on a beach enjoying the lapping of waves or watching whales dance in the distance the next day.
Although many might classify Mexico within North America, for the purposes of my guides you will find Mexico in both the Central American guides and the North American guides.
As usually these guides are not facts carved in stone, but rather “guides” things change over time: hotels shut down, restaurants disappear and good activities pop up. If you spot something in your travels that doesn’t correlate with these guides please let me know by leaving a comment in the comment section of that particular destination.
